DXI Scenario-Based Training Cards ™ are designed to supplement scenario-based training by introducing structured variability in dispatch information, personality profiles, and emotional states. These cards do not replace a trained and qualified instructor. Please follow all proper safety protocols when conducting scenario-based training.

With DXI Scenario-Based Training Cards ™ the officer’s scenario is picked by randomly selecting a card. The role players roll the dice to determine their personality and emotional states. The instructor sets up the scenario, calls the officer in and gives them the dispatch information. Each deck comes with cards and dice that allow for a possible combination of over 1800 different scenarios.

An FTO or instructor can use the cards to facilitate a tabletop exercise to get some quick training reps in. Or scale it upwards by incorporating movement tactics and verbal skills in a sterile classroom environment. Or scale up again and use all the tools on your belt, including a High Gear impact reduction suit and marking cartridge rounds following all standardized safety protocols.

Currently available decks include Police/Sheriff, Campus Police/Security, and now Jail/Prison.  Future decks will be coming for Fire, EMS, Dispatch, Investigations, and Leadership.
