The National De-escalation Training Center and FHSU
De-escalation
Whether dealing with an out-of-control juvenile, a combative patient, a physically or mentally impaired subject, or a violent offender, DXI recognizes that de-escalation can be used in all aspects of life. NDTC also recognizes that de-escalation does not work 100% of the time and that force must always be an available option. That is why DXI has partnered with Fort Hays State University and the National De-escalation Training Center to help provide this course to all first responders.
The National De-escalation Training Center/FHSU 16-hour De-escalation Principles and Practices Course and the 36-hour Train the Trainer Course are both currently being offered at No Cost to Law Enforcement and First Responders thanks to a grant through the COPS office.

DXI is an authorized reseller for Blauer Tactical System's HIGH GEAR® Impact Reduction Suits.
If your scenario gear is too bulky, it eliminates the ‘fear’ of impact. You need this to really develop the proper mindset. If your gear is too thick, it offers too much protection and you know that the gear will protect you. Again, this changes how you think and move. My thought process is that to learn to protect yourself, you must respect the danger. You will not be wearing a padded suit in a real confrontation! With this in mind, I spent 5-years (yes 5!) designing this suit. I tested various foams and plastics until I found the right styles, thickness, and configuration so that the gear transferred impact but also dispersed it. The result was a suit that let you know when you screwed up!
